I ordered one set, but a different size showed up instead. Because of that, I had to contact support and wait for them to sort it out. They did fix it eventually, but it was frustrating and ended up delaying my trip.

Support took a while to get back to me, which was a little frustrating, but they did actually sort everything out in the end.

Every time I go to order what I actually need, it’s out of stock. It’s really frustrating, especially because there’s no clear info on when it’ll be available again or what I’m supposed to do next. I’m left checking back over and over with no real answers.

I went with Maxtrax because I’ve seen so many people using them and the brand seems well trusted. i was feeling mentally drained at the time and just wanted to buy something reliable without overthinking it. The website was straightforward, delivery came through fine, and there were no dramas. It’s not the cheapest gear out there, but it feels solid and dependable. Happy with it overall and I’d buy from them again.

I had a frustrating time using the site. The menus felt all over the place, and I kept clicking around in circles trying to find basic product details. What made it more confusing was that the website would say one thing in one spot and then something slightly different somewhere else, so I wasn’t really sure what was accurate. I gave up after a while. Maybe it’s just me, but it was not easy to navigate at all.

It worked okay in the sand, but it took a few tries and I still had to jump in with a shovel to finish the job. It did eventually get there, but if it’s this much hassle next time, I’ll probably be looking for something else.

I grabbed a set from Maxtrax, and the storage has been one of the better parts for me. Compared to the bulky recovery boards I used to carry, these sit nice and flat in the back of my ute and don’t chew up much space at all.
The only small thing was the straps took me a few minutes to figure out the first time. Once I had them sorted though, everything packed up neatly, and it’s easy to grab when I need it

The site mostly does what it needs to do, and I was able to find the recovery boards without too much hassle. That said, a few pages loaded slower than I’d like, and the mobile menu felt a little awkward. Checkout worked, but it wasn’t exactly smooth. Overall, it’s not a bad website, but I do think companies have a responsibility to make shopping easier and less frustrating for people, especially on mobile. A bit of cleaning up would go a long way

I was hoping this would be an easy install since a lot of people seem to have no issues with theirs, but the mounts just didn’t line up properly for me. Maybe my setup is a little different, but compared to what others are saying, mine definitely didn’t fit right.

I thought this would be better for the price, honestly. It does look tough when you first see it, but using it was kind of a letdown. The mounting points are in awkward spots and the whole design just doesn’t feel as well thought out as I expected. It’s not terrible, but it feels a bit overhyped to me.

The grip was alright overall. It wasn’t nothing crazy or magical, but it did the job well enough for what I needed.

I usually don’t buy into all the slick company talk about “premium build” and whatever, but this does genuinely feel tough. No flex, no rattly cheap bits, and it just feels like it’ll hold up. Happy with the quality so far.

I’ve had my trust worn down by deliveries being late or having some random issue, so I wasn’t expecting much. But this one showed up right on time and was quick with no problems at all.

I grabbed a few MAXTRAX bits to use with my older recovery boards, and most of it fit together better than I thought it would. The mounting pins lined up with my roof rack cleanly, which was a nice surprise.
Only reason I’m knocking it down to 4 stars is I had to double check some of the accessory sizes before ordering. The info could be abit clearer, but overall I’m still happy with it.

But when I had an issue and tried to go through the warranty process, that’s where it got frustrating. Replies took a long time, and I felt like I had to keep following up just to get a clear answer. A lot of the responses also felt generic, like they were copied and pasted. For the price, I expected the support to feel a lot more reliable.
